The Company
Solarbelt is part of the Atmosfair group, a non-profit carbon-offsetting business headquartered in Berlin. It develops its own technology, builds pilot plants in Germany, and identifies new potential sites for technology deployment in the Global South. Solarbelt operates a live facility in Lower Saxony where E-Kerosene is manufactured and sold.
The Challenge
Solarbelt had a Project Development role that had been open for 6 months, with little hope internally that the position would be filled. Due to its non-profit status, the salaries offered were often lower than those of competitors, which limited the talent pool despite the high technical standards of the organisation.
The Solution
SRG was engaged to work on this vacancy with an agreement for 2 weeks of exclusivity after other local agencies had failed to deliver candidates of the required quality. As Solarbelt is a more established business, salary benchmarking was not necessary, and this being SRG's first role in Berlin, headhunting was carried out without the benefit of an existing network.
The Outcome
- SRG provided a shortlist of 4 candidates within 9 days of starting work on the role, ensuring high-quality submissions.
- By the end of the second week, 3 candidates completed first-stage interviews, with final-stage interviews scheduled for the following week.
- The chosen candidate accepted the offer at the end of the fourth week, showcasing SRG's efficient recruitment process.
- The successful outcome led to an ongoing partnership with both Solarbelt and their parent company, Atmosfair, resulting in two additional placements this year.
Client Feeback
"We tasked SRG with recruiting for a key position in our Solarbelt FairFuel gGmbH core team. They responded with a strong shortlist of candidates who matched our requirements well. We successfully filled the project developer role and had additional suitable candidates available as backups. The quality of the shortlist, the quick turnaround, and the professional communication convinced some of my colleagues at Atmosfair—Solarbelt’s affiliate—to also work with SRG."
