SRG is delighted to be partnering with an exciting start-up biotech company based in the Cambridge area. They are currently looking for a highly motivated Scientist to join the discovery team where you will be contributing to the development of novel TCR Therapeutics. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work in a dynamic environment and rapidly expand their knowledge and skillset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intellectual leadership of the use of high-through-put cell sorting and single cell sequencing to efficiently recover human TCRs
  • Designing and implementing protocols to specifically recover T cells
  • Sorting/screening using a multi-parameter flow cytometer to sort and analyse desired cell populations
  • Designing panels to further dissect T cell subsets
  • Development and application of LIBRA-Seq/Beam-Seq (10X Genomics) for TCR discovery
  • Contributing to the development of microfluidics based single cell technology for TCR discovery
  • Development, QC and use of in-house manufactured probes by working with protein & technology development teams
  • Library construction for PCR/NGS processes
  • Establishment, review, and updates of SOPs

Ideal Candidate:

  • A Ph.D. (or equivalent experience) in Immunology/Cell Biology/Molecular Biology or similar with a strong flow core/immune-assays background
  • Several years of postdoctoral experience in an academic or industry setting
  • Extensive experience in designing and testing multi-parameter panels for analysis and sorting
  • Extensive experience with flow analysis software (e.g. FACSDiva, FlowJo)
  • Significant practical laboratory experience working with primary and immortalised mammalian cell lines
  • Experience in design and setting up Microfluidics based assays
  • Experience in single cell technology and library preparation (desirable)
  • Demonstrated skills in trouble shooting and technology development
