Chemist - new job in Basingstoke, UK

Chemist required on a permanent basis, based in Hampshire. Requiring a degree in Chemistry or similar. Proven industrial experience of working in an analytical laboratory is essential.

Salary: £25,000- £30,000 (dependent on experience)

SRG are working with a leading manufacturer and supplier of chemical products. They are currently looking for an Chemist to join their laboratory team on a permanent basis, at their site in Hampshire. This role will predominantly involve the process control and testing of intermediates to the end product. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to method development to support new products and provide technical support to development programs.

Shifts: 6:00-14:00 and 11:00-19:00

Role / Description

• Undertaking analytical methods to ensure intermediates through to end products are at optimal standards
• Responsible for method development to support new products.
• Providing technical support for the development of programs
• Training members of personnel on analytical techniques
• Assist with health and safety practises to ensure to the company is adhering to relevant policies.

Requirements

• A degree in Chemistry (or similar)
• Proven industrial experience of analytical laboratory work is essential
• High attention to detail
• Ability to efficiently plan, organise and manage own workload
