R&D Chemist - new job in Coventry, UK

Chemist required on a temporary basis with a potential to move onto a permanent contract, based in Coventry. Requiring a BSc or MSc in Chemistry, materials testing experience preferred. Recent graduates encouraged to apply. Title: Research & Development Chemist Location: Coventry Salary: £23,000-£26,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Term: 6 months - Permanent SRG are currently working with a fast growing and innovative technology company. They are now seeking to hire an R&D Chemist join their global R&D team based in Coventry to support the physical testing of materials in light of an exciting new expansion. This role will be suited to a graduate who has completed a placement within industry, or candidates that have experience within Physical / Materials testing. Benefits: You will join an exciting project on a 6-month basis, with the chance to move onto a permanent contract for the right candidate. Excellent progression opportunities into product management and R&D. 25 days holiday + bank holidays. Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. Role/Description

• Sample preparation.
• Perform in-house testing of mostly mechanical properties.
• Organisation of external testing and continued communication with external test providers.
• Data management and interpretation of test results.
• Report writing.
• Processing and Presentation of test results.

Requirements

• Masters degree in science or engineering
• Experiences in lab work in preferably physical or chemical lab
• Understanding and knowledge of materials and material testing, ideally in the construction materials industry or similar
