Job profile:
As a senior packaging engineer, you will be required to provide technical packaging and process understanding and work with operations, commercial and marketing consumer research agencies to produce packaging from design to finished goods.
Key Responsibilities.
In this role you will be challenged with designing and developing new and innovative packaging designs. You'll need to make sure any designs are meeting the customer insights and demands. You'll do this in a cost effective and timely manner.
You will ensure that the packaging development for extending core, and breakthrough product designs are delivered for the brands and that they are designed to meet the brand KQA's.
You'll carry out the packaging development process so that time lines are met to market products.
You'll make sure all packaging specifications are accurate to ensure accurate costing.
You'll make sure that packaging quality and Manufacturing quality performance measures standards and corrective actions are specified for each new and current packaging to ensure performance at the required level for all manufactured products.
You can expect to work within teams in a design thinking way of working to deliver new and novel innovation for the brand.
You will initiate and evaluate pilot line trials during development for new Packaging/varieties when existing production lines are not available. This will involve close co-operation.
Education & Professional Qualification
You will need to have a degree, preferably within packaging however other relevant degrees will be considered. Experience within a previous packaging role will be required. Know
