At SRG we are partnered with a global pharmaceutical company who are searching for a Senior Outcomes Innovation Manager to join their team on a 12-month contract. This role is an exciting opportunity to take on an important role managing research studies for RWE and Outcome Research across HTA, reimbursement and market access. We are searching for someone with demonstrated experience in evaluating and developing research/projects for inclusion in clinical trials and HTA.

Role:

As a Senior Outcomes Innovation Manager, you will lead operationalisation of these studies and projects by liaising cross-functionally to ensure all procurement, compliance, and legal requirements are met in study set-up and conduct. The outcome of your studies will provide economic perspective for product portfolio decisions, marketing, product reimbursement strategies and regulatory agency submissions. You will work with product reimbursement and clinical research teams to improve their strategies and programs. You will lead horizon scanning to identify key opportunities for innovation in real-world evidence, outcomes research, and/or outcomes-based agreements.

As a Senior Manager, your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts in the discipline and comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to lead complex projects across the division. Your ability to develop and manage plans will facilitate in achieving objectives, interpreting internal and external business challenges and recommending best practices for improvements. While managing complex project environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve targets for the division.

Responsibilities

  • Develop ideas and lead/co-lead complex projects across business units and manage plans to achieve objectives.
  • Identify and develop research plans for studies.
  • Drive high quality and comprehensive horizon scanning/landscape assessment to identify key opportunities for innovation in real-world evidence, outcomes research, and/or outcomes-based agreements.
  • Oversee business implementation of analytic strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Understand National Health Service (NHS) policy and guidelines and their impact on different customer groups in relation to the key NHS targets.
  • Understand the The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) Code of Practice and the requirements pharmaceutical companies must comply with to ensure ethical and transparent conduct of research
  • Effectively use internal licensed resources to assist with business planning and customer interactions.
  • Lead a cutting edge approach to Outcomes Innovation & Evidence (OIE) policy, methods and processes to become thought leaders with biopharmaceuticals.
  • Source or provide appropriate training to develop skills and talent in OIE methodology.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence in people development and account management, through effective coaching and mentoring of field colleagues and appropriate input for cross functional team development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in evaluating and developing research/projects for inclusion in clinical trials, Health Technology Assessment (HTA), reimbursement, and/or market access
  • Pharmacy, Formulary Management, and/or Health Technology Assessment (HTA) market access experience
  • Practical experience in performing observational research, in any setting, including life-sciences company, research organization, academic institution or governmental agency
  • Strong working knowledge of health economics and its application to health economic modelling/analyses
  • Understanding of global drug development, outcomes research and COA instrument development and the methods addressed in the Food and Drug Administration Procurement Guidance
  • Strong project management, strategic and analytic skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and respond to multiple internal and external customers
  • Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience

Desirable

  • Master's degree
  • Knowledge and experience in a relevant therapeutic area
  • Good past publication record
