A recent YouGovpoll in the UK found only 50% of those who had a full-time jobs were entirely sure their job made any sort of meaningful contribution to the world. 37% were quite sure it did not. The majority of those in the 37% were in ‘Bullsh*t jobs’ according to Professor David Graeberof LSE –jobs that if they were taken away, no-one would frankly notice the difference. And the important point –the employee in that job knows it. Given the number of jobs in professions such as Doctors, Firemen, Teachers, farmers, cleaners (who would obviously feel their job gives some contribution, somewhere) this broadly means everyone in an office feels their job is irrelevant.
What a waste.
This seminar will look at how you can bring meaning to your job and those of people, it will help you unlock the potential of all your employees to contribute, to add value, to increase the belonging and commitment and thus make them more productive.
This seminar can count as evidence towards your CPD, if required, after the event you will be awarded a certificate which can be used as evidence towards your Continued Personal Development.
