What is Lorem Ipsum?

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Meet the team

In her role as Head of People - STEM, Emma plays a key part in shaping the future of SRG. Taking the lead on our People Agenda, she is at the heart of building capability, and planning and managing our talent and development approaches with a goal of achieving shared organisational objectives.

Since achieving MCIPD status, Emma has worked in HR roles – including positions for a variety of companies across the insurance and retail sectors – for over two decades and has already held HR Business Partner roles for over half her career.

A member of the Impellam team since June 2022, Emma supports all our group’s STEM Brands, working closely with the Managing Directors and Senior Leadership teams of Carbon60 and Lorien in addition to SRG.

A Black Belt certified member of BQF, Carly is passionate about employee engagement and how its benefits can help drive the future of STEM. Having worked in manufacturing and cGMP environments for over 15 years, including in lab, production-based and operational excellence roles, Carly has gained vital experience in leading projects across a wide business remit, including quality, safety, scientific process, layout, time and reliability improvements, as well as waste reduction. Now at the forefront of building-on and delivering operational excellence at Synergy, in her role of Continuous Improvement and Quality Manager, Carly works in collaboration with the operations team and on-site personnel to provide training and support to develop CI knowledge and application. Bringing her expertise to Synergy and our clients, Carly leads and executes projects – from quick wins to large-scale, long-term contracts – whilst also mentoring colleagues to ensure their working environments, processes and practices are always operating at their optimum levels.

Tony joined Synergy in 2021, initially leading one of our key scientific service accounts, he has since widened his portfolio of clients with teams supporting a number of UK based scientific programmes, and is now an Account Manager. Prior to joining Synergy, Tony's career cover’s more than 20 years of scientific operations leadership including large scale genomic sequencing pipelines and molecular forensic science services.

Tony is passionate about delivering excellent services to our clients, working in close partnership to complement their wider aims and translating these into our teams delivery and development.
