The Opportunity
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational performance of the site, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all quality and regulatory requirements.
You will lead a team focused on maintaining high standards within a controlled manufacturing environment while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
This role offers a balance of people leadership, operational management, customer engagement, and continuous improvement activities.
What You'll Be Doing
Leadership & Operations
- Lead day-to-day site operations and ensure service delivery targets are achieved.
- Create a positive, high-performance culture that motivates and engages employees.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance site performance.
- Act as the key point of contact for site stakeholders and customer representatives.
- Build strong partnerships through proactive communication and problem solving.
Team Development
- Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and operational teams.
- Conduct performance reviews and support career development plans.
- Identify training needs and ensure team capability continues to grow.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention activities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence.
Quality, Compliance & Safety
- Ensure operational activities are completed in accordance with site procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and compliance within a controlled environment.
- Champion a strong health and safety culture across the site.
- Support risk assessments, investigations, and corrective actions where required.
- Monitor performance through KPIs and operational reporting.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Manage site budgets and resources effectively.
- Ensure accurate payroll processes and administrative compliance.
- Analyse operational performance data and identify opportunities for improvement.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience managing operations within a regulated manufacturing or operational environment.
- Strong people leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Experience managing customer or stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to make decisions confidently and take ownership of outcomes.
- Experience managing performance, quality, and safety standards.
Desirable
- Experience in cleaning services, facilities management, cleanroom operations, pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, food manufacturing, or similar sectors.
- Knowledge of GMP, GDP, ISO standards, or other regulated industry requirements.
- Experience managing budgets and operational KPIs.
- Continuous improvement or Lean/Kaizen experience.
