Engineering Manager

Working hours: Monday - Friday 07:00 - 16:30

SRG are currently recruiting an Engineering Manager for a successful and growing client based in London. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for a senior engineer or supervisor looking to step into a role with real influence over plant reliability, safety performance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance engineers and technicians
• Plan and prioritise maintenance activities to minimise downtime and improve asset availability
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Manage planned maintenance schedules, shutdowns and contractor activity
• Own and manage the permit-to-work system
• Develop, coach, and upskill engineering team members
• Lead fault finding and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent repeat failures
• Drive continuous improvement across maintenance and reliability
• Communicate performance and site issues via shift reports and handovers
• Support budget control and cost management within engineering.

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance or engineering environment
• Strong CMMS experience
• Exposure to budgets and P&L responsibility
• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
