Machine Learning Researcher

Oxfordshire - Hybrid

SRG are working with an early-stage start-up developing a new technology platform utilising ML to identify Protein structures & interactions at scale and boost drug discovery efforts.

They are looking to recruit Machine Learning research lead to work alongside the founders and develop ML based analyses, mathematical models pipelines.

This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of an emerging business, helping to shape the development & implementation of new technologies that have the potential to transform traditional drug discovery efforts.

The Role

  • Design and develop machine learning and mathematical models for analysing experimental data
  • Implement proof-of-concept software in Python
  • Build and manage data pipelines from laboratory instruments through to analysis
  • Run, evaluate and iterate algorithms against defined technical metrics
  • Engage with broader scientific and technical challenges as they arise

Summary of Experience

  • Degree (or higher) in Machine Learning, Computer Science or relevant subject.
  • Strong Python software engineering skills.
  • Experience in Machine learning & mathematical models
  • Previous exposure to biology, biochemistry or drug discovery would be advantageous.
