Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

SRG are working with a leading waste management and recycling company who have a long and very successful history of supporting the UK chemical industry. They have decades of industry experience and are deeply committed to their values and their people. They are now looking for a Mobile Chemist to join their team. This role would suite candidates with 1+ years of experience as a site chemist in the waste industry.

Hours: 40 hours a week Monday - Friday

Role / Description

• Provide technical support and work with customers to determine the best methods of packaging, transporting and processing chemical wastes
• Provide safe recommendations and consult with customers on improving recycling, storage and segregation of their chemical waste products
• Gather detailed information to facilitate the compliant removal of waste in line with environmental regulations
• Carry out site-based risk assessments and operate in line with strict Health & Safety standards
• Perform liquid pumping services, transferring waste from damaged or unsuitable containers to appropriate ones, ensuring safe removal from site and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum HNC/HND/BSC level qualification in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Industrial experience gained in the waste industry
• Full clean driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK - There is no sponsorship available for this role
