Scientist role in Leicestershire with a global materials manufacturer. Around £29K/year, 12-month temporary contract starting ASAP. Support R&D projects through lab-based formulation development and testing. Record and analyse data, contribute to continuous improvement, and work in a collaborative team. Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Support R&D and New Product Development (NPD) projects by assisting in formulation development and small-scale laboratory testing
- Accurately record, analyse, and interpret experimental data, and prepare clear reports for internal teams and stakeholders
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and adhere to the company's quality management systems
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate findings effectively to line managers and contribute to project discussions
Requirements:
- Recent degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
- Recent Lab experience (academic or industrial)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Proactive, curious, and a team player with strong communication skills
