Mechanical Technical Authority - new job in West Yorkshire, UK

What's possible?
- Responsible for the Mechanical Aspects of the following: Engineering Technical Standards, process safety management standards, maintenance, improvement and project work processes, equipment records and data.
- Ensure new technologies are leveraged and maintained across site.
- Partner with other business functions to support and implement standards effectively and whilst managing risk.
- Ensure engineering work is controlled in accordance with engineering arrangements and that all Legal, Regulatory, Contractual, COMAH and Governance obligations are met.
- Certified Competent Person for Pressure Systems. To approve, review and maintain all Pressure System Written Schemes of Examination.
- Working across multiple manufacturing processes, ensuing relevant KPIs and best practice are met and implemented.
- Facilitates high severity RCA for Mechanical or Integrity incidents.
What do you bring?
As our Mechanical Technical Authority, you will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and be a chartered engineer (relevant Institution), or significant work experience within a highly regulated chemical manufacturing sector.
You will have a deep understanding of relevant legislative requirements and national / international standards related to working in a Top tier COMAH site and have extensive experience of pressure systems integrity management and fitness for service assessments, rotating and static equipment.
As our Mechanical Technical Authority, you will need extensive mechanical engineering experience within projects and operations/maintenance support within Chemical Manufacturing
