QC Technician - new job in Greater Manchester, UK

QC Technician required, based in Greater Manchester. Requiring an interest in Chemistry with proven industrial experience of analytical chemistry being desirable but not essential. Recent Chemistry graduates are encouraged to apply, along with candidates who have completed an A-level in Chemistry.

Title: QC Technician

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 (dependent on experience)

Term: Permanent

SRG are working with a well-established manufacturer of speciality chemical products who have been consistently growing for a number of years. Operating a busy QC laboratory, they are now looking for a new QC Technician to join the lab on a permanent basis, in conducting routine and non-routine chemical analysis across a wide range of raw materials, in-process and finished product samples. This would be a great opportunity for someone with some previous laboratory experience who is looking to further their career. Alternatively, this opportunity would suit candidates that have a background in Chemistry, through university or college studies.

Role / Description

• Undertaking routine and non-routine QC testing of raw materials, in-process and finished product samples
• Recording and reporting all QC test results
• Preparing samples and responding to technical service requests as needed
• General laboratory housekeeping

Requirements

• Background in Chemistry (through University or College education)
• Analytical experience of analysing chemical samples (desirable but not essential)
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
• Well organised with good time management skills
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and self-motivated
