Process Engineer - new job in Stafford, UK
My Chemical Manufacturing client is looking for a Process Engineer to work on improvement projects across their 4 national sites.

- Purpose
Support four UK sites in the following areas: Projects, Process Engineering, Process Safety and Continuous Improvement. Reporting to UK Projects & CI Manager.
Role and ResponsibilitiesProjects:
- Manage large Capital Expenditure projects through the various stages from concept, feasibility, definition, design and execution. Work closely with engineering departments to ensure safe and successful completion of each project.
- Ensure all projects comply with corporate SHEQ requirements.
Process Safety:
- Support sites with the management of their 5-Year Process Hazard Analysis plan, leading PHA techniques such as HAZOP and LOPA where required.
- Provide the technical knowledge of process safety, regulations and corporate guidelines to assess process safety risks.
Process Engineering:
- Creating and maintaining technical drawings such as P&IDs and PFDs.
- Provide process engineering support to engineering departments including sizing of process equipment.
Continuous Improvement:
- To drive Bostik's continuous improvement initiatives across UK operations, delivering improvements and reducing costs.
BEng or MEng Chemical Engineering - Other engineering disciplines with chemical industry experience considered.
Preferred Skills- Knowledge of process safety techniques - HAZOP & LOPA
- Project Management experience
- Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques (VSM, BCT, 5S, SMED etc.) is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills (fluent English).
