They are currently looking for a highly motivated research associate/scientist to join the protein science teams where you will be contributing to the development of novel TCR Therapeutics. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to work in a dynamic environment and rapidly expand their knowledge and skillset.
Perform DNA cloning and prepare DNA constructs for transfections.
Express novel TCR formats in HEK293 and CHO cells in small, medium and large scale
Perform protein purification and ensure proteins are of high-quality using protein analytical and assay techniques (SDS-PAGE, HPLC-SEC, ELISA)
Maintain and establish cell lines required for protein production.
Provide high-quality protein material to the downstream protein characterisation team.
Support protein team in functional and biophysical characterisation
Analyse and present work/data in group meetings and produce accurate scientific reports and SOPs.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate laboratory record of all experimental activities.
An BSc/MSc (or equivalent) in a life-sciences or related subject for the Research Associate level with at least 2 years of industry experience OR a PhD (or equivalent) in a life-sciences or related subject for the Scientist level
Significant experience with molecular biology techniques such as DNA cloning and protein expression
Hands-on experience in protein production in mammalian cells such as protein-based biologics
Experience with protein expression in E. coli and troubleshooting difficult expression would be highly desirable.
Practical knowledge of the AKTA purification platform and using conventional chromatography resins e.g. ion exchange
