Title: Graduate Purchasing Administrator
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 (dependent on experience)
SRG are currently working with a well-established manufacturer and supplier of paints & coatings based in Tyneside, North East England. Due to a recent retirement they are seeking to hire a Purchasing Administrator on a permanent basis, providing full training and development. This role would involve communicating with suppliers, requesting documentation and supporting in the customs of moving goods. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Chemistry graduate to grow into a role outside of a laboratory environment.
Benefits: An excellent opportunity to join a well-established company who are market leaders within the paints and coatings sector. Full training provided. Working hours are 8:00am - 4:300pm Monday - Thursday and 8:00am - 3:15pm on Friday. 24 days holiday plus bank holidays and pension scheme.
Role / Description
- Running reports to support in monitoring both inventories and deliveries
- Supporting in obtaining and delivering Purchase Orders
- Customs clearing goods coming into the UK from EU/Rest of the World
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and pricing
- Request documentation regarding products
- A degree or similar qualification in Chemistry or a related field
- An interest in moving into a non-laboratory based role or moving into purchasing
- Able to work as part of a team effectively
- Strong organisational skills
