Title: Graduate Purchasing Administrator

Location: Tyneside

Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 (dependent on experience)

Term: Permanent

SRG are currently working with a well-established manufacturer and supplier of paints & coatings based in Tyneside, North East England. Due to a recent retirement they are seeking to hire a Purchasing Administrator on a permanent basis, providing full training and development. This role would involve communicating with suppliers, requesting documentation and supporting in the customs of moving goods. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Chemistry graduate to grow into a role outside of a laboratory environment.

Role / Description

• Running reports to support in monitoring both inventories and deliveries
• Supporting in obtaining and delivering Purchase Orders
• Customs clearing goods coming into the UK from EU/Rest of the World
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and pricing
• Request documentation regarding products

Requirements

• A degree or similar qualification in Chemistry or a related field
• An interest in moving into a non-laboratory based role or moving into purchasing
• Able to work as part of a team effectively
• Strong organisational skills
