The Role:
- Management and motivation of the quality team and the day to day activities of the department
- Develop, monitor, and report on the agreed targets and Quality Metrics for the organisation
- Ensure the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in the organisation in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Report monthly as part of the Quality Management Review and regular departmental review meetings
- Work closely with and report to the Head of Quality And Regulatory Affairs
- Ensure all areas in the business understand their responsibilities and expectations from a quality perspective.
- Drive initial & continuous training programmes for all teams
- Drive the management of Change Control System and the management of Deviation System, and CAPA System.
- Play an integral part in and lead audits (both internal and external) and ensure the department is prepared and report on results as required
- Implementation and utilisation of Quality Risk Management principles (QRM)
- Review process performance and product quality
- Drive and encourage continuous improvement and look to maintain and improve quality standards across the department
Requirements:
- A degree in a relevant scientific discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Prior experience of working in the Pharmaceutical sector within Quality specifically
- Experience of leading/managing a team
- Prior experience of acting as an RP or eligibility to become and RP or QP would be advantageous but is not essential
- Extensive experience working with Quality systems and processes while ensuring compliance with GMP/GDP requirements
- Ability to drive Quality standards within the team and encourage a strong Quality focus across the site
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work well as part of a team
