About the job We are working with an international group with over eighty-five years of experience. They have recently had success getting FDA approval for a new product and are committed to improving the quality of human life with pharmaceutical solutions. They have recently appointed a new CEO who has ambitious growth plans for the group with is already present in thirty companies.You will provide technical input on new chemical products for inhalation from candidate selection through to full development and be involved in developing novel formulation platforms. You will be joining an atmosphere of innovation and continuous improvement. The Position

They seek a Formulation Scientist/Senior who can work effectively with project teams and external contractors (CRO/CDMO). You will manage formulation feasibility, scale-up, process development, tech transfer packaging and more.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects, design formulations, and deliver process development studies.
  • Manage CDMOs, suppliers and CROs for scale-up projects.
  • Writing and reviewing formulation-related IND and IMPD documents.
  • Conduct safety and document-related tasks like IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and managing SOPs.
  • Plan and prioritise workflow and team assignments ensuring successful completion of projects to deadlines.
  • Split time between office (50%) and laboratory/manufacturing environment (50%).

You will have:

  • Life Science degree or equivalent with over four years of industry experience in developing pharmaceutical dosage forms.
  • Complete understanding and application of pharmaceutical formulation development activities.
  • Experience in external contractor management and internal stakeholder management.
  • Excellent knowledge of manufacturing process development
  • Experience in process validation and technology transfer activities.
  • Knowledge of solid-state chemistry and powder physical properties.
  • Experience in GMP documentation technical writing.
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean tools.
