Optics Development Engineer - Oxfordshire

SRG are partnering with a new up and coming high tech company in the Oxfordshire area. We are in the search of a talented graduate to junior level engineer looking to break into the optics and high sensitivity camera sphere. With a really interesting product set to revolutionise several industries in a multitude of sophisticated applications. Offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a key part of the multi-disciplinary team in optics, electronics, and materials.
  • Support the establishment of a pilot production line and the scale-up of the designs.
  • Responsible for establishing the tools, techniques, and procedures to validate and verify performance of our pilot production and products.
  • Ensuring that the products we make are compliant with all the relevant regulations by designing and performing compliance testing.
  • Support contract manufacturing partners to establish new manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

  • Physics/engineering degree or equivalent industry experience in a relevant field
  • 2 years' experience working to develop optical or opto-mechanical systems
