Role: Design Engineer (Controls and Instrumentation) Location: Hertfordshire Contract: 6-months+

SRG have an exciting opportunity for a Controls and Instrumentation Design Engineer on an initial 6-month contract with the view of extension. The Controls and Instrumentation Engineer will be involved in FEED and EPC Project Contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Review designs, drawings and data
  • Coordinate the discipline Engineering work with other engineering disciplines
  • Review/evaluate technical bids.
  • Represents the company in technical and commercial negotiations with Vendors and Suppliers
  • Coordinate/conduct the review of design documents of Engineering Contractors Equipment manufacturers or Subcontractors.
  • Coordinate the closure of the discipline technical actions from HAZOP/LOPA reviews, P&ID reviews, etc
  • P&IDs development

Criteria:

  • Degree qualified
  • 10+ years' experience working in design engineering or other relevant types of engineering
  • Knowledge of electrical systems for instrumentation, including cabling, wiring methods, materials, control circuits
  • Knowledge of current computer applications for engineering and design
  • Experience working in the Chemicals/COMAH/Oil and Gas/Pharma industry (desirable)
