Position Overview

To develop optimise, analyse and manufacture veterinary pharmaceutical dosage forms, from pre-formulation through to regulatory submission, whilst adhering to the quality standards outlined in VICH Guidelines and the Pharmaceutical Section Policy Document

  • Optimisation of veterinary Pharmaceutical dosage forms development for use to include, but not limited to, oral tablets, suspensions and solutions, sterile injectable suspensions and solutions, topical suspensions and solutions, intra-mammary preparations and spot ons.

  • Assist with reverse engineering of commercial reference products

  • Supporting the manufacturing /scale up optimisation of development batches and the technology transfer of new products to commercial manufacturing facilities

  • Preparation and support of submission documents and regulatory response in consideration of (V) ICH guidelines, Ph. Eur., BP, USP monographs and appropriate guidance documents such as CDER

  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for both group and R&D management

  • Ensure compliance with SOPs and GxP requirements

You will have

· Bachelor's Degree or higher in a chemistry or pharmacy related discipline

· Minimum 3 years of drug product development, manufacture and analytical processes

· Working knowledge of GMP and (V)ICH requirements

· Strong communication skills with a demonstrable record of work cross functionally

  • Scale up experience
  • At least 3 years hands on experience of drug/ product development, manufacture or technical support incorporating multiple dosage forms
  • Experience of supporting ANDA regulatory submission
  • Experience of physical test analysis for example , particle size, viscosity
  • Experience of dissolution profile testing
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience in Quality by Design
  • Experience of Design of Experiments
