R&D Analyst - Global Pharmaceutical company
Contract: Permanent
Location: Blackburn
SRG are working with a pharmaceutical company to help them find an R&D Anlayst to join their busy team. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or enthusiastic scientist with 1 year relevant industrial experience.
The role is to carry out routine and non-routine analytical testing. They are looking for someone with a keen interest in Analytical Chemistry.
Essential Skills:
- Preparing and Testing of analytical samples in accordance with the appropriate procedures and analytical
- Setting up and preparing HPLCs for Routine analysis of sample solutions and the use of Chromoleon software
- Ensuring that all work is performed to an approved Protocol adhering to current procedures and completing the work in a timely
- Processing and compilation of inhaler and component test
- Maintaining accurate records and submitting records to other analysts for technical
- Completion of timesheets in a timely manner, to record the relative utilisation of resources across multiple
- Working to approved Analytical Test Methods (ATMs) where
- Developing an understanding of the testing of inhalation devices: Metered Dose Inhalers (MDIs) and Dry Powder Inhalers (DPIs).
Required Skills:
- Educated to at least Bachelor's Degree level in a relevant scientific discipline e.g. Chemistry, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences
- At least 1 years' experience of working in a pharmaceutical or similar laboratory setting.
- A basic understanding of HPLC, in addition to a good understanding of how to work safely and consistently in a laboratory environment. Experience in inhaler testing would be advantageous, but full training will be provided.
