Supplier Quality Engineer - new job in Stevenston, UK

Title: Supplier Quality Engineer Location: North Ayrshire Type: Permanent Salary: up to £38,000

SRG is working with an innovative engineering organisation who produce highly advanced and technical products for a variety of industries such as aerospace, security and defence across the world. They are now looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the team in Stevenston on a permanent basis.

The primary role of the Supplier Quality Engineer is to manage the quality of the supply base, through audit and inspection facilities. The role will also involve managing the calibration and inspection functions of the QBI Department.

The position will be site based in Stevenson. The role will be 37.5 hours per week with a 4.5 day working week and half day Friday.

Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Skilled in the use of a wide range of inspection equipment, including CMM programming and use, Vision systems, etc
• Significant experience in control of key features, visual inspection tools. Use of Vision systems and CMM measurement systems.
• Supply chain auditing against ISO9001
• Internal auditor trained for ISO 9001

Desirable:

• Green belt in Six sigma
• Qualified metrologist
• Gauge R&R
• Goods Inwards Inspection
• Calibration
• Supply Chain management
• Trained as lead auditor for ISO 9001
