Job Title: QA officer / QA Auditor

Location: North East

Employment Term: Permanent

Salary: £25000- £40,000

SRG are working with an international Pharmaceutical organisation who are currently recruiting a QA officer to specialise in the internal and external auditing process. This is a company going through massive growth and diversifying their function into APIs, leading to new and exciting challenges.

The ideal candidate will be working in QA within a pharmaceutical setting and have experience or exposure to regulatory or external audits. This is an exciting role that will allow a junior QA Officer to gain critical experience within QA auditing or provide an experienced Auditor a new challenge within an international company.

The role

  • Support the full life cycle of vendor qualification andde-qualification, including:
    • A risk-based approach to the qualification of:
      • Manufacturers i.e. those supplying APIs, excipients and packaging components
      • Suppliers / Agents of the above items
      • Service providers i.e. software, pest control, haulage, CMOs and CTOs
      • Vendors of other GMP and/or GDP impacting services
  • Their ongoing management and performance monitoring with respect to Quality.
  • Their de-qualification following for example, poor performance or discontinued projects.
  • Undertake on-site and remote audits, producing schedules, agendas, reports and CAPA plan approval.
  • Manage qualification questionnaires and other supporting documentation.
  • Manage supplier-initiated changes which have the potential to impact Quality.
  • Maintain a risk-based assessment of the end-to-end supply chain, including the site of manufacture, transportation, warehousing, repackaging, evaluating any risks to product quality, efficacy or security.
    • Manage the internal audit program, including:
      • Self-Inspection
      • GMP Walkarounds
      • External Audit Readiness


  • HACCP qualified level 3 or higher
  • Experience with regulatory or external audits
  • Validation experience desired
