About the Role

CPI is looking for an organised and customer-focused Office Administrator to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term basis.

This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You'll be at the centre of day-to-day operations, providing essential administrative support to colleagues, welcoming visitors to site and helping ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This role is covering a secondment and would suit someone who enjoys a busy environment and can confidently manage a range of competing priorities.
You'll be the first point of contact for many visitors and stakeholders, making strong communication and customer service skills essential. Whether you're arranging travel, coordinating meetings, supporting site visits or responding to requests from across the business, you'll play a key role in delivering an excellent experience for both colleagues and visitors.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing high-quality administrative support across the Sedgefield site.
  • Welcoming visitors and ensuring they receive a professional and positive experience.
  • Supporting site visits and explaining visitor procedures, including health and safety requirements.
  • Managing meeting room bookings and coordinating meeting logistics.
  • Arranging UK and international travel and accommodation for employees.
  • Raising purchase orders and supporting routine administrative processes.
  • Answering and directing calls through the main switchboard.
  • Supporting onboarding and induction activities for new starters.
  • Assisting with housekeeping audits and general office administration.
  • Managing a variety of requests from colleagues and ensuring activities are prioritised effectively.

About You:

We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, keeps organised under pressure and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.

You will have:

  • Previous administration experience, although this is not essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work proactively.
  • A flexible approach and willingness to support a variety of tasks.
  • Confidence interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A professional and customer-focused approach to work.

Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Reception or front-of-house duties.
  • Travel booking and coordination.
  • Meeting and event administration.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Supporting visitors and site tours.
  • Working within a busy office environment.
  • IT or business administration qualifications.

This is an on-site role, with standard working hours of either 8:30am to 5:00pm and 8:30am to 4:00pm on a Friday.

Why Join CPI?

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop their administration and customer service experience within a professional and collaborative environment. You'll work with colleagues from across the business, gain exposure to a wide range of activities and play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the site.
