COMMUNITY CONTENT SPECIALIST

Content & Digital Community Engagement | SaaS Product Company

Do you love writing for an online community? Are you the person in the group chat or forum who always knows how to explain something clearly, spark a conversation or make people feel genuinely heard? If so, this position should appeal to you.

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global SaaS product company for a Community Content Specialist to help shape and grow its vast online user community. About the Role

This role sits at the intersection of content creation and community engagement. You will own the end-to-end content lifecycle, from spotting what the community needs, through ideation and creating / writing content, to publishing and analysing how it performs. Alongside this, you will spend time directly in the community itself, understanding conversations, identifying trends and building genuine relationships with members.

This is not a technical writing role, nor will it suit traditional marketing content creator. We are looking for someone who can write in a natural, conversational, human voice, the kind of tone that belongs in an online community forum or on social media, not a corporate manual or a glossy campaign.

What You'll Do

  • Create engaging content that helps users get more from the software products, including how-to guides, tips and tricks, community member spotlights, monthly round-ups, etc
  • Build genuine relationships with community members on the company's online forum, representing their needs and increasing engage
  • ment and loyalty
  • Get involved directly in forum conversations: drive discussions, spot emerging trends and issues and help shape the direction of the community
  • Maintain and refresh UI copy and in-platform content so it stays accurate, clear and on-brand
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on content optimisation, including SEO and discoverability
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, sharing community sentiment and insight with the wider teams
  • Contribute to wider community projects and experiments, such as moderation, gamification and onboarding initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience writing engaging, conversational content for an online community, forum, blog or social media channel, ideally for a SaaS or tech product
  • A background in Community Management, Customer Experience involving content creation or a content/copywriting role where you have represented the customer or community voice
  • A natural, warm and empathetic writing style. You are as comfortable engaging with a community member online as you are drafting a piece of content and your tone never tips into overly technical or overly corporate territory
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to influence and collaborate with global, cross-functional teams
  • A relevant third-level qualification in business, marketing, communications or a related discipline
  • A track record of delivering against targets, comfortable interpreting and reporting on community engagement metrics
  • A curious, structured and self-motivated approach. Someone who can manage their own projects while remaining a genuine team player
