BTS Manager (Product Owner)

Contract: Temporary - 3 months
Rate: (INSIDE IR35)
- circa. £500-700 per day

We are seeking an experienced technology and product management professional for an initial 3-month contract to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of business technology solutions (BTS) across a regional environment. Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company is ideally looking for someone with ample experience operating as a technology Product Owner. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and global partners to ensure products and projects deliver measurable business value while aligning with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to business priorities.
  • Manage and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring focus on high-value features and enhancements.
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to gather requirements, drive engagement, and deliver effective technology solutions.
  • Lead technology projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, quality standards, and governance requirements are met.
  • Monitor product and project performance through KPIs, reporting progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement, user adoption, training, and support activities to maximise business value and user satisfaction.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 7+ years' experience in a Product Owner, Product Management, or technology delivery leadership role.
  • Strong project management experience delivering complex technology initiatives within matrix organisations.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into practical technology solutions and outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional and remote teams, including third-party vendors and global stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with a solid understanding of IT systems and software delivery practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Scrum Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent) would be advantageous.
  • Fluent English required.
