SRG are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Manager on a permanent basis, based in Lancashire. This is a key leadership position, responsible for driving operational excellence and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
The successful candidate will be a proven manufacturing leader with experience managing plant operations within a chemical, process, or manufacturing environment. You will play a critical role in delivering business objectives through effective people management, operational efficiency, and change management programmes.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Provide overall leadership and direction for site operations, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant plant performance
- Manage and develop multidisciplinary teams, creating a high-performance and accountable culture
- Lead and promote a proactive Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) culture, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction and operational performance
- Develop and implement change management strategies to support business growth
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to safety, production, quality and maintenance
- Ensure effective resource planning to meet customer demand and operational targets
- Lead investigations into incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Criteria:
- Previous experience in a similar role with leadership role within chemical/ COMAH manufacturing or a related process industry
- Demonstrable experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, compliance and best practices
- Experience leading and embedding organisational and operational change
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities.
