Are you passionate about building strong client relationships, solving commercial challenges, and developing business opportunities within the food industry? This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of key accounts while working alongside industry experts in a collaborative and supportive environment.
You'll play a central role in helping customers achieve their objectives, combining technical expertise with commercial insight to deliver meaningful value. This position offers variety, autonomy, professional development, and the chance to influence both customer outcomes and business growth.
This role is ideally suited to someone based in Clonmel, Tipperary, or Cork.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Building long-term partnerships with key customers and becoming their primary point of contact
  • Developing a deep understanding of customer goals, challenges, and future requirements
  • Managing customer accounts from both a technical and commercial perspective
  • Responding to quotation requests and providing timely, solution-focused support
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business relationships
  • Leading and contributing to tender submissions for new opportunities
  • Developing and implementing account growth strategies and business development plans
  • Reviewing pricing structures and leading commercial discussions and negotiations
  • Collaborating with technical, operational, and commercial colleagues to deliver excellent customer outcomes
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends, regulatory developments, and market changes
  • Contributing to sales performance objectives and supporting wider business growth initiative
  • Working with international colleagues on strategic and global customer opportunities
  • Coaching and mentoring junior members of the account management team



What Will Help You Succeed

  • A scientific qualification or significant experience within the food industry
  • A proven track record in sales, account management, or customer relationship management
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence in presenting ideas, influencing decisions, and negotiating effectively
  • Commercial awareness combined with a customer-focused mindset
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, curious, and solution-oriented approach
  • The drive and resilience to identify and convert new opportunities
  • Good IT skills and confidence working with business systems and data
  • Previous people management or mentoring experience would be beneficial
  • Willingness to travel to customer and operational locations as required
