Join a leading materials company as a Scientist supporting their technical team.

This role exists to help shape, refine and deliver solutions used across UK, with a strong focus on technical performance and customer impact.
A great opportunity for candidates with a scientific or engineering background looking to grow their experience in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting to create and test new technical solutions
  • Working closely with multiple business functions-innovation, sustainability, digital and portfolio teams-to progress new product development projects
  • Ensuring customer needs are clearly understood and embedded into technical decisions and project outcomes
  • Helping identify root‑cause issues and applying structured technical processes to answer key project questions
  • Contributing to continuous improvement in safety standards and championing safe working practices
  • Engaging directly with customers and maintaining clear, supportive communication throughout each project
  • Travelling to customer sites around the UK when required


What We're Looking For

  • Degree in a science, engineering or related discipline
  • Previous experience applying scientific or technical principles within projects
  • Confident communicator who can explain technical points clearly and factually
  • Organised, delivery‑focused and able to manage multiple tasks with high accuracy
  • Commitment to excellent safety behaviours
  • Full UK travel flexibility when needed
