SRG is partnered with a beauty product development and manufacturing business, based in Bedfordshire. They are now looking for an experienced Lead Packaging Technologist to join the team. This company has a supportive, collaborative and social culture. This role would suit creative candidates with 3+ years' experience in packaging innovation, sustainable packaging and packaging trends, packaging development, and packaging briefs within the personal care / skincare / bath and body care and cosmetics industry.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end packaging development projects from concept through to commercial launch
  • Manage and mentor a direct report, supporting their development and day-to-day workload
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, operations, and suppliers to deliver robust packaging solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement across cost, performance, and sustainability initiatives
  • Oversee artwork and specification approvals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Troubleshoot packaging challenges during production, implementing effective solutions
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure all packaging specifications are up to date


Requirements

  • Strong background in packaging development within FMCG, personal care, or a related industry
  • Proven ability to lead projects and support/mentor junior team members
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Full right to work in the UK, there is no sponsorship available for this role
