Principal CyberSecurity Architect

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid/Flexible)

Contract: 6 months renewable, daily rate contract

Rate: €1,000 - 1,100 per day (reflective of the Senior nature of the role)

Overview:

We are partnering with a leading International Information Technology & Manufacturing Organisation to appoint a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Architect. This is a senior-level contract opportunity suited to a professional with a strong background in enterprise security architecture, multi-cloud security, and emerging technology environments.

This role will play a critical part in designing, implementing and evolving cybersecurity architecture & security solutions across this Organisation's complex Global IT & Business Enterprise, working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams internationally.

As such, we are looking for a Cyber Security expert with experience across multi-cloud, Large-scale Enterprise Infrastructure, Network & Datacentre environments who is able to operate at the Senior Business & Technical levels with key internal stakeholders & governance of external delivery partners.

Key Responsibilities:

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the security and protection of this Multinational / Global enterprise' systems and data assets, as a key part of a global team of internal Cybersecurity experts.

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level cybersecurity architecture and strategy
  • Author and review key architecture artefacts including ROMs, HLDs, BRDs
  • Define and implement security controls aligned with business and technical requirements
  • Architect security solutions across multi-cloud, AI, and OT environments
  • Conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation plans
  • Advise stakeholders on security risks, technologies, and best practices
  • Establish and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and frameworks
  • Balance security and usability to enable business outcomes

Experience & skills required:

  • 10+ years' experience focussed in Cyber Security & Large-scale Enterprise Infrastructure
  • Proven experience in Cybersecurity Architect within large-scale enterprise environments
  • Expert knowledge of systems & data security, network security, cloud security, firewalls and enterprise architecture
  • Experience across PAM, IAM, application security and operational technology (OT)
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, principles, and best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
  • Must have architected / designed & delivered solutions on International scale projects
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, TOGAF) are highly desirable

Please note that you MUST also have EU/EEA/UK citizenship or hold a current valid work visa for Ireland. No Sponsorship considered.

You must also be able to attend Dublin City Centre Office location on a regular basis within a hybrid working model.
