  • Salary: £28,000-£30,000 per annum
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We're supporting a well-established organisation operating within the chemical sector, supplying high-quality products into a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a chemistry graduate or early-career analyst looking to build hands-on experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment. The role offers strong development potential, with exposure to a broad range of analytical techniques and quality-related activities.
What you'll be doing
  • Conduct laboratory analysis on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products
  • Operate analytical instruments such as GC, HPLC and GC-MS, alongside wet chemistry methods
  • Record, review and interpret analytical data accurately
  • Support investigations into quality deviations and contribute to technical reports
  • Assist with preparing and maintaining SOPs and quality documentation
  • Take part in internal audits and support compliance to quality standards
  • Carry out routine maintenance, calibration, and performance checks on equipment
  • Support wider QA processes and respond to internal/external queries
  • Assist with sensory or product assessment activities where required
What we're looking for
  • Degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline
  • Understanding of analytical techniques through academic or practical experience
  • Exposure to GC, HPLC or similar instrumentation is desirable
  • High attention to detail and a structured approach to lab work
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Any prior laboratory or industrial experience would be beneficial
