SRG are delighted to once again be working with a specialist aerospace & defence manufacturing company based in North Lanarkshire to assist in their search for a development engineer to support on R&D of new battery/energy storage products.

The Role

As Development Engineer you will work as part of a highly innovative product development team to design new products that align with customer requirements.

This position provides the potential to be involved in the full lifecycle of customer product development, working closely with customers to develop requirements and costing plans, generating product design and carrying through to manufacture.

Alongside the customer facing design aspect, this role also has internal facing responsibilities, working closely with production and NPI to bring designs to life and to the industry, providing technical guidance and advice throughout.

The Right Person

  • High-level of education in applied chemistry (or similar)
  • Demonstrable industrial experience in a technical/manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable delivering presentations to colleagues and customers
  • Electrochemical experience is highly desirable
  • Prior knowledge of quality management systems

Role Details

  • Salary up to £50,000 p/a
  • Fully Dayshift & Mon-Fri (Half Day on a Friday)
  • Permanent, full-time position
