Senior RF Electronics Engineer

Location: Dublin, Ireland
Experience: 8+ years in RF electronics

Introduction

A fast‑growing MedTech company is developing next‑generation implantable electronics and wearable controller devices. They are now seeking an experienced Senior RF Engineer to lead RF circuit design and support full‑cycle hardware development.

Role Overview

You will own the design, development, and optimisation of RF power and communication circuits for implantable medical devices, while supporting testing, validation, and product commercialisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF power transmission and RF communications circuits
• Perform frequency analysis, simulation, and worst‑case modelling
• Develop and test PCBA hardware for medical electronics
• Conduct failure analysis, create test protocols, and produce test/validation reports
• Support PCB layout, especially high‑speed/RF layouts (Altium)
• Produce documentation, specifications, and engineering requirements

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Degree (BEng/MEng/PhD) in Electronic Engineering
• Strong background in RF and analogue circuit design, SPICE simulation
• Knowledge of filters, mixers, LNAs, VCOs, impedance matching, signal integrity
• Experience in:
  • Wireless power transmission
  • Wireless communications and agile transceivers
  • Link budgets & noise modelling
  • EMI/EMC testing and mitigation
  • Embedded electronics and embedded software
  • SDR (Software Defined Radio)
  • Typical RF lab equipment (spectrum/network analysers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Experience translating prototypes into production‑ready devices
• Power modelling, thermal considerations, circuit optimisation, calibration methods
