This is an ideal role for a skilled Maintenance Fitter who enjoys problem‑solving, working with heavy plant, and contributing to a proactive maintenance culture.
- Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs across plant equipment.
- Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and respond quickly to breakdowns.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (weekly, monthly, bi-annual checks).
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and equipment updates.
- Promote strong teamwork and effective communication across departments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Key Requirements
- Time-served Maintenance Fitter with qualifications in Mechanical Automation, Manufacturing Maintenance, Toolmaking, or related fields.
- 5+ years' experience in heavy plant/industrial environments.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work proactively, use own initiative, and manage tasks effectively.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in a fast‑paced environment
