Job Title: Contracts Manager - Procurement Specialist

Location: Reading / Havant

Contract: 6 months

Hours: 40 hours per week

Rates: up to £550 via Umbrella

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager - Procurement Specialist to join major British Irish multinational energy company's IT & Telco Procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating the supply of IT and Telecommunications services, ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external legislation

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing activities for IT & Telco services, ensuring alignment with company procurement governance and legislative requirements.
  • Develop robust contracting and negotiation strategies in collaboration with IT Cyber, Category Managers, and wider procurement stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex IT contracts, including special terms, ensuring long‑term protection for the company.
  • Manage negotiations with Tier 1 technology vendors, leveraging commercial insights to secure favourable outcomes.
  • Support supplier relationship management and performance reviews to ensure delivery against contractual obligations.
  • Work closely with Legal, Data Protection, Information Security, and Project teams to align contractual agreements with organisational needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and deliver cost‑efficient commercial solutions.
  • Interpret and apply statutory and legal provisions relevant to IT procurement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in procurement systems such as Oracle, Jaggaer Bravo and Achilles.


Experience and Qualifications

  • IT procurement experience of around 10 years with a Cyber or Risk understanding beneficial.
  • Proficient in contract knowledge, use of IT contracts including the authoring of terms.
  • Able to explain complex contractual ecosystems and advise approached to remediate.
  • Solid negotiation experience with Tier 1 technology partners, able to identify and leverage changes establishing new or revised agreements for the benefit of the Customer.
  • Excellent Stakeholder management, with ability to co-ordinate with Project, Legal, Data Protection, Information Security and the Suppliers equivalents.
  • Methodical and process driven.
