About the Organisation
You will be joining a leading global pharmaceutical CDMO specialising in drug delivery and complex product development. The organisation supports partners worldwide in bringing inhalation, injectable, and combination products from concept to commercialisation. Within this environment, the Product Development Division plays a crucial role in advancing new drug delivery technologies, carrying projects from early formulation through to regulatory submission. Their work spans early‑stage R&D, scale‑up, technical troubleshooting, and cross‑functional collaboration-making it an ideal setting for scientists who enjoy innovation, problem‑solving, and hands‑on technical development.
The Role of the pMDI Product Development Scientist
In this role, you will contribute to the development of new metered dose inhaler products, supporting programmes from early research through to regulatory submission. You'll work closely with cross‑functional experts across development pharmaceutics, stability, specifications, and data analysis. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and executing pMDI product development activities across early development, registration, and NPI stages
- Supporting data analysis, protocol generation, and reporting for regulatory submissions (e.g., IND/IMPD/MAA/NDA)
- Contributing to laboratory, pilot‑scale, GMP, and commercial‑scale activities
- Interpreting analytical data and contributing to decision‑making throughout the development lifecycle
The Ideal Candidate for the pMDI Product Development Scientist Role
To thrive in this position, you will bring:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific or mathematics/statistics discipline
- At least 2 years of recent experience in pharmaceutical product development
- Experience interpreting analytical data, authoring scientific reports, and writing SOPs
- Preferably, hands‑on exposure to inhalation product development-particularly pMDIs
- Strong problem‑solving ability and a creative approach to technical challenges
- Ability to multitask, prioritise dynamic project workloads, and collaborate effectively
Preferred experience includes:
- Familiarity with CMC documentation (IND/NDA, CTA/MAA)
- Knowledge of metered dose inhaler technology
- Understanding of QbD principles, design controls, and product risk assessments
If you're seeking an opportunity to apply your technical expertise, contribute to innovative inhalation products, and join a collaborative development environment, we'd love to hear from you.
