Job Title: Manufacturing New Product Development (NPD) Engineer

Location: Cambridgeshire - hybrid working

Type: Permanent

Salary: Competitive + benefits (outlined below)

SRG are currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in new product development and introduction based in Cambridgeshire.

This is a key role in ensuring the seamless transition of new products from development through to full-scale production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in new product development (NPD) and NPI within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Lead new product development activities
  • Support cross-functional project teams including R&D, quality and operations teams
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal teams, ensuring materials and components are available to ensure assembly and test processes are robust
  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and generate regular progress reports for stakeholders
  • Develop and manage the delivery of PPAP requirements for new products
  • Identify and implement process improvements.

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience in NPD/NPI within a manufacturing environment
  • Have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and scale-up from concept to production
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills as you will be heading multiple projects at the same time.
