The role offers a hybrid working model (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) and exposure to complex, business‑critical programmes within a well‑established international environment.

The Role

As a Management Accountant, you will take ownership of end‑to‑end project financial management of IT projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring strong financial control, insightful reporting and effective governance across multiple initiatives. You will act as a key finance partner to IT Project Managers, PMO teams and senior stakeholders, providing insight and challenge across budgets, forecasts and spend.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Financial Management

  • Maintain accurate financial records across IT projects, including budgets, forecasts, actuals, commitments and accruals

  • Support the monthly project financial close, ensuring accurate accruals, reclasses and adjustments
  • Prepare monthly project P&L and balance sheet reporting packs
  • Manage the full financial lifecycle of projects from initiation through to closure

Capex & Opex Accounting

  • Perform Capex vs Opex assessments in line with IFRS/GAAP and internal policies
  • Ensure correct capitalization of IT development, hardware, software, and internal labour costs
  • Maintain fixed asset registers for IT assets, including additions, disposals, depreciation and impairments

Business Partnering

  • Partner closely with IT Project Managers, PMO teams and external vendors to understand milestones, resourcing, risks and financial impacts
  • Provide financial guidance to strengthen cost control, forecasting accuracy and financial governance
  • Facilitate monthly project reviews with IT leadership

Budgeting, Forecasting & Controls

  • Support annual budgeting cycles and quarterly reforecasts for IT project spend
  • Build detailed project financial models, including multi‑year Capex planning
  • Provide insights on cost‑to‑complete, spend phasing, and resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with corporate finance policies
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Monitor vendor invoices, purchase orders, and contracts to ensure compliance and financial accuracy

The Expertise Required:

  • At least 5+ years' experience in management accounting or IT project finance roles
  • Proven experience supporting IT, technology or transformation projects
  • Strong understanding of Capex/Opex accounting and financial controls
  • Confident business partner with the ability to engage non‑finance stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with a detail‑oriented approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment
  • Previous Large-scale, matrixed Organisation experience

Compensation - Daily Rate + Benefits:

  • 12‑month contract (extendable) with a global technology organisation delivering complex, high‑value IT initiatives, as part of a Global Org Transformation Program
  • €400-€425 per day
  • Hybrid working (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
  • Exposure to large scale IT initiatives and senior stakeholders
  • Well-structured project finance environment with strong governance
  • Opportunity to make a real impact across large‑scale projects
