  • Provide data‑driven insights into machine performance and downtime reduction.
  • Ensure engineering support is available across all shift patterns, including occasional out‑of‑hours cover.
  • Complete and maintain all documentation in line with Quality and Regulatory standards.

Process Engineering

  • Oversee all Process Engineering activities and deliver continuous improvements.
  • Challenge and optimise manufacturing processes to achieve efficiency targets.
  • Lead site projects, validations (IQ/OQ/PQ), feasibility studies, and CAPA/NC/change control processes.
  • Maintain validated production processes and support post‑design transfer.
  • Implement Lean, FMEA, Kaizen, and data‑driven improvement practices.
  • Identify new technologies, justify CAPEX, and support value stream mapping.
  • Train and support Production Operators on process capability and standards.

Facilities & Compliance

  • Manage statutory inspections (lifting equipment, pressure systems, emergency lighting, etc.).
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with medical device, health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Support environmental permit requirements and site HSE initiatives.
  • Maintain critical spares and engineering inventory.

Leadership

  • Motivate, mentor, and develop multi‑skilled engineering teams.
  • Oversee training, skills matrices, return‑to‑work processes, and appraisals.
  • Manage engineering budgets, expenditure, and monthly reporting.
  • Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong leadership experience managing Maintenance and Process Engineering teams.
  • Background in regulated manufacturing
  • Experience with FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, and process validation.
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety and engineering legislation.
  • Skilled in Lean tools, CI methodologies, and project management.
