Manufacturing Manager

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Manager, looking for a new challenge? If so this could be an ideal next step for you.

One of Ireland's leading businesses within the automotive components industry is looking to add an experienced Manufacturing Manager to their established team. This role is ideally suited to a professional with strong manufacturing or fabrication experience, with a keen eye for detail and improvements and the ability to lead a large number of staff across different disciplines and shifts.

In this role you will liaise with site manufacturing, engineering and design teams to deliver the highest quality product to the standards and specifications set out by individual customers.

In this role you will:

  • Lead all site manufacturing activities, achievement of the production plan, fulfilling all related Customer expectations including on time, in full deliveries and delivered quality
  • Lead the creation, ongoing development and deployment of best practice Lean Manufacturing strategy and framework; ensuring consistent and rigorous application across the manufacturing department
  • Develop and manage operating budget for the Manufacturing Department
  • Inspire the manufacturing team to challenge existing processes and implement solutions that enhance the overall effectiveness of production systems/processes
  • Actively promote an EHS culture within manufacturing
  • Set operational performance goals which are ambitious, achievable and tied to long-term corporate goals

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • At least 5 years manufacturing experience, preferably at manufacturing/production management level, within a team-based engineering manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record in Lean Manufacturing and familiar with Operational Excellence & Efficiencies and Right First time Philosophy
  • A collaborative leadership style
  • Ambition for the business and for their own career progression - sees the opportunity for the role to evolve and expand once there is a best practice and highly efficient Manufacturing function in place
  • Commercial and financial awareness with excellent attention to detail as well as strong organisational, follow-up and presentation skills
