Salary: £50,000 - £66,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electronics Manager to lead a dynamic team working on cutting-edge HealthTech projects. This role offers the chance to shape the future of medical and wearable technologies, including biosensing systems, connectivity solutions, and drug delivery devices.
About the Role
You'll provide high-level technical leadership and manage a high-performing team of engineers and production technicians. You'll be responsible for delivering innovative electronics solutions, particularly in microcontroller-based design for wireless and low-power sensor systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electronics projects from concept through to production.
- Supervise and mentor engineers and technicians, fostering innovation and collaboration.
- Contribute to CAPEX and OPEX budgeting.
- Drive continuous improvement and capability development across the team.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronics into medical devices.
- Support bid development and business growth through technical expertise.
- Ensure thorough documentation of technical decisions and methodologies.
Recent Projects Include:
- A temperature monitor for pre-term babies
- Assistive technology for amputees
- Biosensing sportswear
About You
You'll be educated to at least HNC/Foundation Degree level in a scientific or engineering discipline, with significant industrial experience in electronics and integration. You'll have a proven track record of technical problem-solving and team leadership.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Formal management training or equivalent experience
- Expertise in electronics engineering and integration techniques
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Ability to innovate and solve complex technical challenges
- Experience managing performance in operational environments
Desirable:
- Supervisory or management qualification
- Chartered status with a relevant professional institution
- Membership in a professional body
- Experience in medical device product development
