Production Planner - Manufacturing Sector

Are you a strategic planner with a passion for manufacturing excellence? Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Production Planner to join their dynamic operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of production planning and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Develop monthly and weekly production plans based on customer forecasts and operational capacity.
  • Manage production schedules within the ERP system (Epicor experience a plus).
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of customer orders and prototypes.
  • Monitor and report on production variances, bottlenecks, and KPIs.
  • Generate purchase requisitions and oversee material availability.
  • Support inventory planning and component management with external vendors.
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a planning/scheduling role, ideally within manufacturing.
  • Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor desirable).
  • A third-level qualification in Business or Supply Chain (desirable).
  • Excellent time management, organisation, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
