A leading multinational organisation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its team at a large-scale manufacturing facility in Limerick. This is a permanent position offering excellent career progression opportunities.

About the Role
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on both plant maintenance and large-scale improvement projects. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for a specific process area, and play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preventative and predictive maintenance activities
• Plan and execute major shutdowns and overhauls
• Manage contractors and ensure project delivery
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
• Drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental standards
• Scope, install, and commission new plant improvement projects

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (or similar)
• 5+ years' experience in a heavy industrial environment
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven technical and commercial acumen
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
