We are looking for a Process Operator to join our team at our Edinburgh site. This role involves working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, where you'll help produce chemical products safely and efficiently. You'll be part of a team that follows strict quality and safety standards to ensure everything we make meets the highest standards.
What You'll Do
As a Process Operator, your main job is to run the equipment and follow instructions to carry out chemical processes. You'll be working with different machines and tools to mix, measure, and handle materials. You'll follow detailed batch sheets and process instructions to make sure everything is done correctly.
You'll also be responsible for:
- Monitoring chemical reactions and reporting anything unusual.
- Recording any changes in the process and keeping accurate records.
- Following safety rules and wearing protective clothing.
- Cleaning equipment and containers to avoid contamination.
- Handling hazardous materials with care.
- Weighing and dispensing liquids and solids.
- Taking samples and performing basic tests during production.
- Helping introduce new products and improve existing processes.
- Supporting and training other team members when needed.
- Taking part in continuous improvement activities to make our processes better.
This role includes working day and night shifts, so flexibility is important.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is reliable, careful, and able to follow instructions closely. You should be able to work well in a team but also be confident working on your own when needed.

Qualifications and Experience
You don't need to have worked in a chemical plant before, but it would be helpful. We'll provide full training to help you succeed in the role. Ideally, you'll have:
- Some experience in a chemical or pharmaceutical environment.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards.
