Education required: To apply for this placement, you must be:

Currently studying in 1^st or 2^nd year of a Bachelor's degree in Science.

Other requirements: You must have completed a minimum of one year of your Undergraduate degree.

You must be enrolled at a UK (United Kingdom) or ROI (Republic of Ireland) university for the duration of your placement.

Language requirement: Written and spoken fluency in English

Position Summary

GSK's 2025 Summer Internship Program is designed for science-based students who have an interest in gaining experience to work in a dynamic environment and to build an understanding of the role commercial (marketing) functions have within a global pharmaceutical company, and how marketing can contribute to GSK Oncology medicines reaching patients.

This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days per week on-site required.

Please note: the Summer internships are not expected to lead to full-time employment after completion of your degree.

Program Details

The Summer Interns will gain experience to understand the different functions within Global Product Strategy that the marketing team work with. The interns are expected to be based out of GSK's Headquarters in London but may support multiple geographies.

The focus within the Global Product Strategy teams is to translate our science into commercial success throughout the product lifecycle by ensuring you drive competitive product profiles, lead the development of insight-driven global product strategies and plans and build long term brand value through working in partnership with the cross functional oncology team and the markets to enable outstanding launches and ensure excellent customer experience

The Summer Internship Program offers science-based students valuable insight into career development opportunities by providing assignments working with internal stakeholders and external agencies under the supervision of various members within the brand team.
The experience gained will provide learning opportunities about the different areas of the pharmaceutical company related to Oncology and the overall company vision, helping the intern to understand different career options within the pharmaceutical industry.

In addition, the 2025 Summer Internship program will match students with mentors at GSK who can provide ongoing guidance on professional development throughout their academic and professional careers.
