MSP Case Study for Global Pharma Giant

Our client, a global biopharmaceutical company, partnered with SRG to improve cost savings and compliance.

Overview

The client is a global biopharmaceutical company rated one of the world’s most reputable pharmaceutical companies. It uniquely combines the expertise, financial stability and resources of established pharma businesses with the focus, culture and innovative spirit of biotech start-ups.

For several years, the client had recruited temporary agency workers and limited company contractors through a managed service programme (MSP) provider, supported by a panel of third-party agency suppliers.

Over time, the client found that the model had become dated; it was failing to provide the quality and diverse range of staff that such a nimble, entrepreneurial business demanded. It also lacked sufficient levels of governance and compliance, the solution was static and not innovating and, above all, costs were increasing.

These challenges created an increase in workload for all stakeholders — HR and Procurement and Hiring Managers — taking them away from core business activities whilst increasing costs and risk.

The client identified the need to alter their current MSP programme by partnering with a like-minded business. They sought a solution that would provide a leading-edge, talent-centric programme that blended talent acquisition, risk management, compliance, and cost control alongside innovation and expertise. Enter SRG.

“We were delighted to have been selected by the client to be their strategic contingent worker sourcing partner.  From our initial introduction through to implementation of the programme to the present day, our relationship with the client has always been one built on shared values and trust.”
